In February 2022, I was physically and emotionally exhausted after a long shift on a busy antenatal and postnatal ward. Deflated, I picked up an object to loosen my Afro curly braided hair, hoping to prevent breakages.

Loosening and detangling with that object was easier, faster and far less painful than using a normal comb. A few months later, I tried the same routine with a straight-toothed comb. The difference was immediate and clear.

I searched the functional mechanism of the object, and the penny dropped. I screamed it out loud: “Someone like me needs this!”

It was a 2-in-1 design that could loosen protective styles and detangle with ease, for anyone who wants gentler hair care without giving up comfort or time.
